Translation rules

Please always read <Description> tag of the LocalizationString, it usually have more information about the context of the text, like it’s location, possible parameters etc.

SPECIAL CHARACTERS

As some characters in XML have special meaning, they must be replaced with the predefined entities:

Character    Predefined entity
”                  &quot;
<                 &lt;
>                 &gt;
&                 &amp;

For example, the text:
“Me, Myself & <I>”

should be written in XML as:
&quot;Me, myself &amp; &lt;I&gt;&quot;

TRANSLATING STRINGS CONTAINING BRACKETS {0}

When you encounter a string that contains something like {0} or {1}, please leave this part of the string (brackets and the number inside) unchanged. These are parameters and will be replaced with relevant content when running.
